How to not get Hacked in Animal Jam

This post is about tips to prevent getting hacked in Animal Jam. This is very important because now more people are getting hacked and also there has been multiple hackings over the past year,for example in April 2015 I think there was a huge hacking period where all the famous jammers were hacked by "wretchedjungle" and "fman122." In case that happens again we need to know how to protect our animal jam accounts so this is the perfect blog post.

Tip #1: NEVER TELL YOUR PASSWORD TO ANYONE!: This is the most important step because the only way people can get your stuff is by knowing your password. If you do want to tell someone your password then tell your parents. But if someone asks for your password then the right thing to do is ignore them.

Tip #2: Know the hackers: Everything in this list is important because they will help you stay safe. Knowing who the hackers are is very important because if you didn't know who they are then you might end up actually interacting with them and before you know it your hacked. Also this way you can avoid them as much as possible before getting into serious trouble.

Tip #3: Lock your account: By locking your account it disables anyone getting in it. Even if they know your password to your animal jam account,they might not know what your password is for your parent dashboard. Everytime you log out or if you are going away for a long period of time it is best to lock or disable your account until you get back on animal jam.

Tip #4: Disable buddy requests and gifting/trading requests: This is a good way to make sure that people aren't trying to stalk you or something like that. But sometimes hackers are very smart so find out a way to hack you without knowing your password. In major hacking periods hackers often try to trick you and make you fall into their trap.

Tip #5: Only buddy people you know: This is really important because you don't know who really is behind the screen. So that's why I only buddy people who I know in real life and have met in real life. You never know if its a hacker playing an innocent jammer.

Tip #6: Look unrare: Hackers hack people who have a lot of rares and betas so the best thing is to look unrare so that it would be less likely that they would hack you. But if you still want to look good then wear stuff that are good but not a beta arctic hood and stuff like that.

Tip #7: Have a back up account: Having another account is always good because you could store your best items in the back up account and in case your main account gets hacked at least you still have all your betas and rares.
